Yes, if you were to be extending or carrying out additional tiling for example, or just for doing routine maintenance on the house. All the information you need is there.
I think the PLB is very good. Every piece of information you would need is there. If we were replacing things in the future for example. Information for prospective buyers is very good too. When we sold our house our solicitors lost some of our information which was very costly but that wouldn’t happen with this system. It all looked very straight forward and easy to use – even though I am not an IT expert!
Absolutely! You are looking to get as much information as possible, how much its going to cost to run, energy performance etc. You are overloaded with paper when you first move in, you don’t have the time to trawl through everything you are given. It is a very good way to access the information.

I liked the supplier’s details being there, tiling, units, colours etc, it would be easy to buy replacements or if we wanted to extend the property all the information is there.
More information is always useful. If it had been available I would have used the PLB on several occasions for layout, room sizes and the progress of the home too.
We have really not had time to read the printed information we were given but with this system we could just dip in and out of the information and know that it was always up to date.
The layout is very clear. It’s obviously the way forward and such a good idea.
Energy Log Book
The Energy Log Book (ELB) will monitor and manage your home water and energy usage and provide a lifelong record enabling future comparative analysis of utilities usage.
The ELB was used by Scottish Water on their two largest water and energy efficiency projects. Energy readings must be put into context of the property’s age, type, condition, household structure and costs to be useful. With a PLB, which can store all this data, this will enable you to manage and change your energy usage appropriately saving energy, money and the environment.
